Decision Making in Management
In my exploration of business management, one topic that has profoundly impacted me is decision making. This interest was sparked during my Canadian Business Environment course, taught by Mr. Murtala Sani. His unique teaching style not only deepened my understanding of management principles but also provided me with practical experience in collaborative learning. I chose to focus on decision making in management for my portfolio because it encapsulates a significant part of my learning journey in this course.
Experiencing a Unique Teaching Style
Mr. Sani approached teaching differently than any instructor I've had before. Rather than relying solely on lectures, he guided us through the chapters and then divided the class into groups. Each group was assigned a chapter to explore in-depth and present to the class. This method transformed us from passive recipients of information into active participants in our own learning process.

Key Aspects of His Teaching Style:
Collaborative Learning: Encouraged teamwork and knowledge sharing.
Student-Centered: Placed the responsibility of learning on us, fostering independence.
Interactive Presentations: Allowed us to teach our peers, reinforcing our understanding.
